October 1st comes with a surprise that smells of land and gives you an interesting learning opportunity: we are talking about the Gardening lesson by Alfio Leone, entitled “Garden in Autumn”, who will be given you tips to grow your garden during this fascinating season.
Then, from 6 pm, Sicily En Primeur offers a technical tasting on the vineyards, wine and Sicily, together with the winery of Barone di Villagrande, Donnafugata and Tenuta Gatti.
We continue on Sunday 8th, where the main protagonists of the day will be flowers and, in particular, jasmine. Special guest of the event will be Filippo Figuera and his Conversation in the Garden.
The expert is the owner of the Malvarosa nursery, a collector specialized in the production of plants belonging to Pelargonium and Jasminum genera. The Sicilian company owns two important collections dedicated to these two species.
Filippo Figuera performs intense dissemination activities, both in nursery and in floricultural demonstrations. Twice a year, the nursery offers the Gerani Party in Spring and the Autumn Gelsomini’s Holiday.
The meeting with Filippo Figuera will be on jasmine: diffusion, cultural value, cuisine, cosmetics. A path between the different species and varieties cultivated, from the most famous to the rarest and most unusual ones.
And what about the children? October 15th will be kid’s favourite day thanks to Kids Trip.
From 11 am to 1 pm there will be readings from Emily Hughes’s “Little gardener” tales to which follows a Creative Laboratory. The recommended age is from 5 years on and the duration is about one hour and a quarter. We advise you to book as the places are limited.
Finally, Sunday 22nd is dedicated to visitors who want to see the Star Gardens, the Blossom Garden, but above all to see in person the installation of Emilio Isgrò, an artwork begun on 21st April and which will be completed during the final event of the Radicepura Garden Festival on October 21st.
