“Productive Gardens” it was the theme of the 2019 edition: an event that can gather art, culture, and environment protection as constituent elements of an extraordinary territory.
Inside the botanical park it is possible to visit 10 gardens and 6 installations from renowned international authors created specifically with the most original plants grown by Piante Faro, counting 800 species and more than 5,000 varieties thanks to the nursery activity that Mr. faro has been carried out for more than 50 years, today at the head of the company with his sons Mario and Michele.
These will be astonishing places, but also places to discover the garden designers’ universe which, throughout their installations, will give their own vision of the Mediterranean experience, which is beyond beauty, indeed the palimpsest is telling the climate changes, the union of different cultures, the Mediterranean way of life.
The Sicily is the ideal location for this second edition of the Mediterranean garden biennial: at the foot of Mount Etna, Radicepura aims to promote botany, climate, soil and water excellence of the territory, ideal conditions that allows vegetation to express itself with most vigor than anywhere else.
The 2019 edition was attended by 10 young landscape architects who created 10 gardens in collaboration with the other installations designed by internationally renowned landscape architects and artists.
