The productive gardens represent the idea of a natural space, which produces fruits, flowers, biodiversity, smells, emotions, oxygen, relaxation, fun, regenerating energy, an archetype that never fails.
The experience of the Radicepura Garden Festival is an occasion to rethink the role of the garden in the Mediterranean and Sicilian environment in particular.
There are two necessary premises: on one side the garden with its multiple meanings and on the other the Mediterranean environment.
Two concepts that are only apparently simple, which instead subtend complex fields.
There is no doubt that the garden has numerous definitions, the fruit of the times, of philosophies, of the same religious beliefs. Without wanting to enter into an area that would take us too far, here we only want to emphasize that the vision of Radicepura, linked to a botanical park, is necessarily a “biological” vision, which sees the plant as the main holistic determinant of the garden and absolute protagonist of the space.
The productive gardens represent the idea of a natural space, which produces fruits, flowers, biodiversity, smells, emotions, oxygen, relaxation, fun, regenerating energy, an archetype that never fails.
An educational area dedicated to children with the Mediterranean diet garden and the sound labyrinth, thanks to which – through play – they can get in touch with nature and learn to respect it.
Gardens, environments, spaces that were of great impact in 2017 and that we have chosen to preserve and present to our public also in the new edition of the Radicepura Garden Festival 2019. They are today, true symbols of the Park.
