Professor of Horticulture and Floriculture
Graduated in Agricultural Sciences, she is a professor of Horticulture and Floriculture at the University of Catania. Since 2001, she has been a member of the Board of Professors of the Productivity of plants cultivated in a Mediterranean area doctorate. She is currently holding the position of President of the graduate course in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies at the University of Catania.
She is a member of numerous and prestigious companies and academies, including the International Society of Horticultural Science, the Georgofili Academy, SOI (Italian Society for Horticultural Science). During her career, she has taken part, often as Project Director, to many research groups and research projects. Daniela Romano was the Scientific Director of the MiPAAF production chain project “QUA.PRO.VER”. She is the author of over 200 printed publications and communications at conferences related to the study of the main biological and technical aspects of some flower-ornamental plants and vegetables groups. In the recent past years, her attention has turned to all biological aspects inherent to ornamental species and the planning of green spaces works in the Mediterranean area.
